Hymns We Sing

I often wonder how our life would be if we actually lived out the hymns instead of just singing them in Church.
Sweet Hour of Prayer!
In our strenuous and busy world today,
often we are not even stopping for Sweet Minutes of Prayer, much less Sweet Hours of Prayer.
May we all see that if we are too busy to pray, then we are simply too busy!
God is a loving Father. He desires pleasant communication with His children. If you are one of God's children, then why not begin a new journey today, in a Sweet Hour of Prayer?

Holy, Holy, Holy
Simply a beautiful song. There are many times in the Bible where words are repeated back to back. These are usually used to gain attention. Only once in the Old Testament and once in the New Testament do we see a word that is thrice repeated. Both instances the word is Holy. Isaiah 6:3 and Revelation 4:8 are the Verses that uses the word Holy to describe God.
May we begin to see God with the same sight. Holy, Holy, Holy, LORD God Almighty! If you can not see God in His Holiness, then your vision has perished.

Revive Us Again
"Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Hallelujah! Amen.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.Revive us again."
No doubt we live in a Nation that needs Revival. We live in a State that need Revival. I imagine that everyone of us reading this goes to a Church that needs Revival. But Revival is not going to start in the White House or in the Governor's Mansion. Revival will not even begin in the Church until it begins in you!
I believe God has a great desire to give His people Revival. But God will not send us something that we are not able to receive. 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. This is God's prescription for our receiving Revival.

Count Your Blessings
The chorus says:
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
How true is that? Have you ever begun to count all the wonderful blessings, that God has blessed you with? It surprises me what the Lord has done in my life. You will be surprised also, what He has done in your life!

Jesus Paid It All
A song we often sing at the close of a Service in an Altar Response.
I hear the Savior say,
“Thy strength indeed is small;
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all.”
Jesus paid it all, All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
This song should be a Shout of Praise in every Christian today. Understanding that Jesus did truly pay it all. Our sins washed away, our access to the Father, our Home in Heaven. Wow what a Wonderful Savior!

May the Lord Bless You, as you not only sing these hymns, but also choose to live the words.

More to come,

Preacher Sammy
